Hide and Seek Mentality
By Jessy Nolan - 4 May 2024
Do you remember playing hide and seek when you were young, and that one kid believed that if they covered their eyes, no one could see them?
Well, a lot of adults operate with this mindset when it comes to personal growth. They believe that if they don't acknowledge their personality flaws, no one else can see them.
Those who have learned the lessons you continue to turn a blind eye to see your flaws as giant red neon warning signs. We see you hiding behind the mirror, afraid to self-reflect, believing you're perfect and can do no harm.
But just like that child in the game of hide and seek, your attempts to cover your imperfections only make them more obvious to those around you. Like shadows cast under the glaring light of truth, your flaws grow larger for all to see, despite your attempts to mask them with denial.
